Heads Up

I’m beginning the FINAL CHAPTER of Seven Extraordinary Things. The number of people who are reading have far exceeded my expectations.  I have also been delighted by the thoughtful comments of those who have emailed me, or posted in the forum.

I want to take this opportunity to tell you what is coming next. Immediately after 7XT concludes I plan to launch a new site, which the clever individuals at Inextricable Design are now feverishly laboring to complete. On it, I will continue to present content for free, as I have done here. The first story, which will be part of a new library of original material, is called The Curious Saga of No-One.

There will also be a MEMBERSHIP version of the site, and a PREMIUM version. I’ve spent much of this last year developing a new method of reading graphic novels online, which I believe is different from anything that currently exist. It’s based on an idea I had thirty years ago when I was in Art School.  I would love to describe it in detail, but my patent attorney doesn’t think that’s advisable. Not yet. Soon.

Although I will openly admit that my ultimate nefarious objective is complete and utter world domination, I’m not anticipating on making a profit any time soon.  I work in the film business so that I can afford to do pet projects like these. Therefore, at the outset I will be happy to give free subscriptions to the premium version of the new site to my regular readers. You just have to let me know who you are.  The best way to do that is to  email me.

Did I mention the premium version of the site will be in color?

Seven Extraordinary Things will conclude in late November.  Between now and then, please let me know who you are, and I’ll make sure you get access to all the cool stuff coming.

It is sad to hear that 7X Things is going to be ending soon…but that is the way with all good things. As a side note, I have hoped that once it is complete that you would put it together in book for purchase.

I am looking forward to your next project. I would love to have a membership to the new site.

Have been reading this at work for the past 4 or 5 months. Love it. It’s actually one of the first things I do when I get to work. HAHA! Can’t wait to see what comes next on the new project. It would be awesome to see the next project in color!

I’m glad there is a set story arc to this comic. It has been an amazing trip so far. Can’t wait to see the next project and your *super secret* format. Membership would be appreciated, especially for the color content! The sample looks phenomenal!

    Keep up the good work!

Excitable subject. :O Nobody WANTS 7XT to end but a new comic is so much fun to anticipate. Hoping to be included on your membership list!

I first found 7XT I think back in May, though it may have been in April. Either way, I remember reading it as I wrapped up the school year and dove head first into summer break, and then throughout summer break and through the start of the new school year. It’s been a really awesome ride. Bummer that it’s going to be ending in November.

At the same time, though, exciting! I can’t wait to see how it all ties up. ^_^

I found 7XT just last month and I can’t wait for the new chapter to come out. This is amazing and I wish I had stumbled upon it sooner.

I also enjoyed the photos from your trip, esp the bulldog lol, but the story brought me in and keeps me looking at the RSS feed.

I appreciate, as do we all, I think, your sharing this work with us, and I’d be really happy to be able to see it in color.

(waits for the end with regret)

I think I started reading 7XT back in May and I have been following it daily since. I knew it would have to end sometime and even though I am sad about that I am excited to find out the end. Thank you not only for sharing this but for making it free and updating it everyday without issue. I am looking forward to reading your next story, which seems to be a completely different one!

Oh, it will be like Dorothy stepping from Kansas into Oz! Though just as I’ve always had a special fondness for the B&W portions of The Wizard of Oz (afterall, there’s no place like home), there is also a beauty in your black and white drawings that focuses on the artistry without the “distraction” of color. But I look forward to the new site. 7XT is already “extraordinary” both in storytelling and design. Can’t wait to see what you have coming up!

I was lucky enough to find this comic when it was only a couple of strips old, still in chapter one. In a way, reading it every day while living my own life makes me feel like I’ve lived with it. I’ll definately be reading the next site and would love a premium membership if you’re offering! Keep up the awesome work!

I just wanted to let you know that I love your work and am extremely happy that you will be continuing after 7XT ends. This is one of the first sites I visit in the morning, coffee in hand :). Can’t wait to see your new work.

PS would love a premium membership, your art in color looks so beautiful!

Through extraordinary good fortune, I stumbled on 7XT this evening and read it through non-stop (well, as much as the dogs would allow). The stumble was an ad link on Curvy to Red String, then an ad link on Red String to 7XT. I’m very glad I clicked! I’m looking forward to seeing where the story goes from here; I’m hoping that we’ll get a happy ending but with Nina’s health, I can’t see how that’s gonna happen.

I’ve very much enjoyed your art and story and look forward to your next project.

    Thank you.

P.S. Heck of a bio, man!

I only discovered 7XT a couple of weeks ago, and cannot believe I didn’t hear about it sooner. It is a wonderful story and the craftsmanship behind each panel is readily apparent. I eagerly await the conclusion, as well as your following stories.
